I hope everyone had a wonderful, well-deserved summer break. Now we move into a new academic year, with all the excitement and anticipation of what the new term holds.

I don’t think we can underestimate the importance of teaching staff recharging their batteries. As the term progresses, look after yourselves and look out for each other. The times we are experiencing remain challenging.

I wonder what the curriculum offer will look like in our schools and classes. To what extent will we need to assess pupils’ understanding as we move onto the new year, or do we have this knowledge as the previous year ended?

A further consideration is our learning from the pandemic. Which aspects of provision, developed as a result of the concerns around safety, will we be taking into the new normal? These might include procedural elements, such as staff and pupil movement around the school. It may also include teaching and learning changes, such as home learning. Whatever the arrangements are, keep monitoring and evaluating! Let’s strive to give all our pupils the best deal possible.

Wishing you all a happy and successful term from the team at Schoolweave.

School Evaluation Process

More About BST…

The BST process enables you as school leaders to articulate your ambition for pupils in your school and identify clear processes that will bring this from vision to reality. This approach to school self-evaluation places ambitions, like empowering school leadership, at the centre of your school thinking. Used wisely, it will complement current monitoring and evaluation work in your school evaluation process.

There are three versions available; Primary (including Early Years), Secondary (including Sixth Form) and All Through.

If you are interested or would like to find out more about BST, you can find more insight here. Alternatively, you can get in touch with the team directly, and we would be happy to discuss BST with you.
